Maryville Goat Day

Maryville Honeysuckle Project

Maryville’s Honeysuckle Project aims to create a management plan to control the growth of invasive honeysuckle (Lonicera maackii and Lonicera japonica). This invasive plant has taken over Maryville’s campus, competing with native Missouri species and driving down biodiversity. The mission of the management plan is to restore native ecosystems, reduce bio-waste through product development, and to promote community education and involvement.
